The capstone project is where students work on real world problems. In this case, problems which also have social significance. It serves as evidence of academic, intellectual, and professional competencies attained. It is important that for a capstone project, each student has a mentor or coach who accompanies the student throughout the full process. Capstone projects are used in practitioner courses or degrees and have some differences with theses. In a capstone project, students demonstrate they are ready for the world of work and practice. How they have explored, identified, extended, and applied solutions to problems. Capstone projects may involve innovation and entrepreneurship, service learning, creation and building, connection and collaborating.
